What is a Tax Account Number?

When a business separates employee salaries, it must obtain and state a Tax Account Number (TAN), also known as Tax Account Number, Tax Receipt Account Number, or simply TAN Indian Income Tax Department with 10 digits of 10 digits for code at the time of registration in the TAN The responsibility receives (TCS or TDS). The government has already laid down specific criteria for levying and deducting taxes at source. Further, the TAN of the assessee for payment of TDS/TCS should be recorded in TDS/TCS statements and challans.

Requirements of Tax Account Number
